Kristin M. Palmieri is a licensed Mental Health Counselor with many years of experience aiding adults in their mental wellness journey. She has worked in a myriad of mental health settings including a private psychiatric hospital, an outpatient mental health facility, a college counseling center, an inpatient substance abuse facility and hospice care.
Kristin’s passion for helping others goes beyond her experience and practice, as she teaches as a Senior Adjunct Psychology Professor at SUNY Westchester Community College and Manhattan College. And, interestingly enough, after the 9/11 tragedy she joined the US Federal Government as a Special Agent with the US Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration on the Outstanding Scholar Program in Newark, NJ. Kristin taught international hazmat law at the FAA Academy at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. She proudly worked for the US Government from 2002-2014, where she also was an on-the-job trainer for new hire Special Agents at JFK International Airport.
Kristin founded Grow Thru Mental Health Counseling to continue her quest with helping people through positive healing and growth.
